Prime Minister Issues an Order to Ministries and Institutions to Reduce Their Expenditure

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has asked the ministries and government institutions to reduce government consumptions to help the government cope with the current crisis while the country is fighting with Covid-19.

Cambodian premier has said that during the fight against Covid-19, the government has spent a lot of money to purchase vaccines, provide medicines and other supplies to the victims, and a lot of work that is necessary for Cambodia nowadays. He has requested all ministries and state institutions to reduce unnecessary expenses to be ready in case of any eventual problems.

He has mentioned; "Some parts if can be avoided, should be avoided or postponed."

He has made the remarks at the closing ceremony of the meeting to review the work results of 2021 and the work direction of 2022 of the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday afternoon, 23 February 2022.
